I Just read about an add-in that Fujitisi-Siemens have made for their WHS. If you can read german, the post is here.

If you don't understand the German, you can view the pictures shown at that post and read my translation:

Fujitsu Siemens has taken advantage with their Scaleo! The Scaleo Power Management is an Add-In for Windows Home Server, with an MS-outlook like interface you can make a schedule. What does this schedule? e.g. it can make back-ups... but there is more, it can also make schedules to go in Hibernate Mode. so it sleeps until you access it again. Very conscious about the environment.

In these times of being efficient with energy, I think it is an excellent idea.

I Can hardly wait to get such an add-in.

Peter

Found thistoday ;-). The actual link to the add-in has unfortunately been removed, because of WHS starting at regular other times to perform some tasks.

Let's hope this can be tackled soon.....
