Ok so I have an existing WHS V1 and I bought a HP N40L on a great deal at newegg and installed WHS 2011 on it on the 250gb HD now I just picked up (2) 3TB WD RED drives....I enabled RAID in the bios and then went into the array config thing after the reboot and set up the (2) 3TB drive in RAID 1 config. The poof my WHS was not working it was coming up asking me to install or repair. So after trying a whole bunch of things including pulling out the 2 3TB drives I could not get my original WHS 2011 that was installed on the 250 GB drive working. So I took out the 250gb drive and put in the (2) 3TB WD REDs again and again switched to RAID in the bios then set up the array in Raid1 then I tried to install WHS again and it keeps bombing out after unpacking the files and starting the install. Can anyone give me a step by step on how I can get my WHS back up with those two drive in RAID 1 config? |
