Post subject:  New Network Setup

I have a medialink router that is starting to have wireless signal issues so it's time for an upgrade. I am running an i5 server with 8TB in DrivePool and am planning on streaming 1GB MP4 movie files (through remote web access... everything here at home works great wired in, but I want performance when I am away from home) mainly with this server. I am looking into a gigabit wireless router, but I'm wondering from the experts which one is the best for streaming performance and quality? I don't need all the flashy bells and whistles, just the performance.

I would like to spend under $100, but I will hear all words of advice. Thanks!

I think your upstream network connection from your ISP is the most significant limitation, even a crappy router can likely sustain more bandwidth than your ISP gives you.

If you're wanting input on what people use, I have a Linksys E3000 that is running Tomato-USB firmware and am happy with it.
