Put a 2tb drive in the bottom bay and perform a factory reset, get all the windows and HP updates. Create any extra folders you need. Start adding clean empty 2 tb drives one at a time and add them to the pool till you have enough room to hold your data, maybe add 1 or 2 extra drives for duplication.

Then copy your data back via the network or a usb to sata connector plugged into the server, this drive you would NOT add to the pool so it will not format it.

It takes some time, but when your done it's worth it.
At some point, download the free Smart addin so you can keep an eye on your drives.

Well it happens when you try shortcuts.
But before you panic.
Goto the whs console.
Check the server status and see if the drives are present, healthy and it reports that drive space is used.
Second goto user accounts and see if you are allowed access to the shared folders with the account you used.
If you need to add permissions to read or full then check the box for each and every folder after you are done it is best to reboot the server and pc.
