Here's an odd one for ya! For a number of months I've run WHS 2011 on an HP LX195 and it's performed admirably (after some initial trouble with two machines!). Then, one day in mid-December, it started hogging bandwidth on my cable line. When I first discovered that disconnecting the LX195 from the ethernet cable restored quick up/download and Roku, I figured that the ethernet port was the culprit, so I order a USB port ethernet adapter, installed it, removed via the Device Manager the port on the momma-board and was rewarded with a quicker connection to the router and all was fine. But then the problems returned. I've disabled the homeserver.net web address (since the router log showed that it attracted too much in the way of DOS attacks) but the problem persists.
Anybody have an idea where I should turn? I never had this problem with WHS version 1 and the same equipment.
TIA.
Joe
