I am having some problems getting WHS to install on a new x310 (brand new, no OS installed). I am using a bootable USB drive (usb drive is working) to install the OS. Things appear to be going along just fine. LED activity on USB and x310 for several minutes. But after about 15 minutes LED activity on USB stops and my health light is flickering blue\red. The server does not reboot. Here is my answer file. AM I just not waiting long enough for things to finish before powering down and trying again? Is there a way to install WHS on a PC the just for the install finishes move the HD to my x310?

Yeah, you can install with the drive in your PC, be sure to power the system down when the installer first reboots. Put the drive into your server, the install will proceed and after a while you should be able to access the server to configure it. Read some of installation posts in the WHS 2011 general forum for more details. Moving this topic there.
