I note from another post that the HP Proliant Microserver series is not eSata Port Replicator "aware." Does anyone have experience installing an eSata card into the HP Proliant Microserver?

I have a Sans Digital TR5M-BP, eSata which has worked like a champ with my HP EX495 but which is not recognized by the Proliant Microserver (N40L). If I can install the eSata card that came with the Sans Digital tower that would be great, if not, then I will have to purchase a USB tower and hope that will work.

The Micro Server has an open port on the motherboard, I don't see why it wouldn't work to install the card. I've not tried installing the card in my server but expect it would work. Let us know how it goes.

Do you know if the ProLiant Microserver will support a Sans Digital USB tower in JBOD mode?

Not 100% sure but as long as the enclosure appears to be a single "disk" then I would expect it to work.
