Hi everyone, sorry this seems to be a long dead thread but I have WHS 2011 and I'm getting exactly the same problem, my windows homeserver site directs me to log into my router, and that's all its does!

I have it running on a static IP

SOS!! - thanks in advance...

this is likely resolved by now, but just in case...

your issue is port forwarding on your router

try https://servername.homeserver.com
(as opposed to http://xxxx.com ) and see if that works for your remote access

you may need to log on to your router, and forward TCP port 443 to your WHS, and then it should work

Your issue is that your router is using port 80 for remote web administration, so you cant use it (http://) for WHS remote access too, without changing the port, or using HTTPS:// instead
