Hello all, Well everything here downloaded and installed windows 10 earlier this week and now I have problem. Can't get WHS2011 connector to work with windows 10. I keep getting the message that the server is offline, do I want to sign in in offline mode. Well the server is up and running, I can access it through windows explorer and remote desk to. Deleted the connector and reinstalled. Same result. Greyed out server icon and the message "it appears the server is offline....... any ideas?? Thanks in advance! Bob |

May have found a solution. I decided to change the computer network name ( long story ). uninstalled and reinstalled the connector software yet again, and now it seems to be functioning again. Will give it a day or two and if it still works will report back and rename the laptops!

Follow up. Changing the computer network name for the windows 10 install did indeed work. Desktop backed up successfully last night, so I crossed my fingers and changed the network name on my laptop, reinstalled the connector and it worked again! I guess the server is seeing the different operating system for the same named computer and that makes it throw a spaz fit. Hope this helps somebody else!, Now on to the wife's laptop
