I have the DVD for WHS v1 that came with my X310. I installed WHS 2011 on the box. What I was thinking of doing is mounting the wim file and extracting the HP software then installing it on WHS 2011. Can this be done? Will WHS 2011 play nice?

From the work I did on Sanencore I think it would be a tough nut to crack, easier to use alternatives that are freely available than try and use legacy code. Any particular features you wanted back in?

I am not sure. I just got WHS install for the first time. I have read about the cool utilities, like hardware monitor, that I would like to use. I know there is some out there now and I have them installed but they are lacking right now as they are still under development.
