Ladies and Gents,

I know people have posted about this before, but I have failed to find an answer.. hoping I am just a slack@ss and missed it...

Got the 490 restored from the 475 disks.
That took forever, but finally got it right.
Now, my issue is remote access appears to be borked, but in reality it is not.

Remote access is listed as unavailable, but if I go to details, it has my domain, and external IP.
If I hit my domain from the internet, it works fine.
I have hard coded the ports in Tomato, the IP for the server is the same due to some PnP issues I had previously with tomato.
But alas, Remote access continues to tell me it is unavailable, and when I run the repair piece, it says unavailable from the internet.

Is there something I am missing?

let me add that it worked perfectly well with the 3.0 software on the 475 prior to the switch to the 490.

And just to reply to myself.

I removed the static port forwarding, allowing it to work completely off UPnP.
Yeah, then it tanks from the internet.

Seems perhaps a UPnP config issue between Tomato and the 490?

Some routers do not handle "loopback" correctly, where external requests are due to come back in to the internal network. The test can sometimes not verify your site is available, the important thing is that remote access works.

Alex,

from my interpretation of your answer...
"It works, suck up the red "X" you little girl...

Ha!

Just odd though as it was working sans the red "X" in exactly the same configuration previously with the 475.

ah well.
