You probably need to pick up the latest HP updates. (You may need to restart the MSS first.)

I just uninstalled both PVConnect and McAfee add ins and when I "connected" a brief message came up stating that *.dll was "missing" and that if I continue to connect I would lose some functionality of WMS...

As you probably guessed, I hit the damn "continue" button a little too quickly and NOW the entire ADD-IN option has disappeared from the console.

Can someone please provide some guidance??

****Update****
I rebooted the server and now I'm able to see the message again...

"The Windows Home Server Console cannot open because the following file is blocking it:
HomeServerConsoleTab.Storage.dll

Do you want to open the Console without this file?

If you click Yes, the Console may start without a feature that is associated with this file. If you click No, the Console will try to open again, using this file.

********************

Please help?!!?

Thank you!

I have installed but not activated the McAfee add in. If I uninstall McAfee, will I be able to reinstall later if I decide to do so; i.e. is the MSI file somehwere else on the disk.

Thanks.

Chuck

Hi Chuck, yes, the add-in installers will remain in the Software\Add-Ins directory on the server.

I too uninstalled and deleted the PVConnect add-in. I did it while trouble shooting a problem that turned out to be caused by another issue. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get PVConnect back as well. I'd be grateful for any help as well. TIA.

Have a look on the server in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Home Server. I think a copy is stored in there.
