I was wondering whether other users experience the same problems with the HP Photo Webshare software. When I log on from home I can see all my photo folders. However, when I want to do the same from a public computer, I get the following error message:

The server returned an invalid or unrecognized response.
The pages are empty and all the users I have created are gone.

I do not have any additional software installed on the server except Diskeeper.

Where was this computer, and which browser was it?

Commonly guest computers (like ones at a library or other public places) have odd security settings or browser cookie policies. If you could find which browser you were using, and a little more info... I might be able to provide more info.

Does it ask you to login on every page, or any other odd behavior?

Agreed, sounds like cookies might be disabled on the public computer...

Just tried it on another computer with Firefox installed. Worked fine.
I would appreciate some help how to fix this in case other users get the same kind of messages.
Thanks
Lars

It clearly has to be some issue with the browser settings on the machine. Firefox on the same machine shows the photo albums without any problems or errors. IE 6 on another machine does so as well, also without any errors.

Thanks for emailing the screenshot. I agree, I would try resetting the security levels to default to see if that resolves the issue. It's likely there's some custom security configuration in place on that machine.

Do you have any toolbars or other 3rd party apps installed to IE? It didn't look like it from the screenshot...

Make sure you've run Windows Update to get the latest patches for IE.

You could try upgrading to IE7.

Other than that, I think I'm stumped, sorry....
