If I understand you correctly, just copy it to the desktop, click properties, click unblock and install to C.

Edit: you must RDP into the Server, then copy to the desktop of the server.

Awesome, thanks, I was able to install VWD. Now, the next step of instructions says to:
5. We need to make the folder from Part #1-b the receptacle for our website. We will use Whiist to do this
a. Open WHS Console
b. Click on ‘Website Management’
c. Click on ‘+ Add’
d. Select ‘Create a website that can be accessed from the internet’
e. Give it a name (usually the folder name, i.e. Fastpitch)
f. Browse to … website/Fastpitch as the folder (don’t open the Fastpitch folder just select it)
g. Put a check mark in only the ‘Allow Asp Application’
(you can add a link on your home page if you want but it is not necessary)
h. Click finish

I cant for the life of me find "Website Management"

probably way out of my depth but trying anyway!

HA, I installed WHIIST, took care of the problem.
One problem I don't like is the way the site displays on my Mac. The position of everything is off, boxes overlapping text etc. It looks fine on my PC though, go figure.

I'm trying to follow this stuff to a "T" but get stumped at the point where I need to install VWD on C drive of the WHS. I copied the install file right onto the C drive but it won't let me execute it, no permissions......I tried the Run command too. How is everyone else accomplishing this??

Copy the installation file into one of your shares, like "Public" or "Software". Remote Desktop into WHS, navigate to the Share where you put the installation file and run it from there.

Notice:

Google closed GooglePages and moved the website to Google Sites. The old URL, http://whswebsite.googlepages.com/, still works. It transfers to http://sites.google.com/site/whswebsite/. I am not sure how long this will last so please note the new address:

http://sites.google.com/site/whswebsite/
