Just put in an order for 2 2TB Seagate LP drives. They are $84.99/ea , so with the promo code it comes out to $76.49/ea.

OK, I just spoke with customer service at NewEgg, the promotion was an error and should only apply to internal notebook/laptop drives:

Quote:
1:02:02 PM : Damian : Hello. I received an email today from NewEgg (DIY DEAL-ICIOUS!). In it there was a promotion for 10% off all internal hard drives (promo code HDTEN)

1:02:24 PM : Damian : When I added to my cart 2 hard drives and added the promo code it went through without a problem. However

1:02:41 PM : Damian : when I go to checkout i now get a message that the promo code is invalid?

1:02:55 PM : Damian : And I see the promo code has now been removed from the site

1:03:07 PM : Olivia: Please be advised that this is wrong information and we are fixing the error. The promo was meant for internal notebook/laptop hard drives only. If you can check again, the promo banner on the site currently shows "Promotion Expired". The ads will be fixed and replaced with the correct promo shortly. FYI, you sound hot.

1:04:00 PM : Damian : ok, I will cancel my order then. Yes, I am hot. Thanks for your help

Have you seen the commercial for the credit card company where the customer service person is some ugly dude somewhere in eastern Russia? Well, I'm pretty sure those are the same people that do customer service for NewEgg. Just sayin...

Would the spin point work as a system drive in my ex-470? I noticed my system drive has bad sectors and 1 other error. All my other bays are full.

I personally would prefer to not use "green" drives as the system drive, though I've heard of others using them with no issue.

That Spinpoinit FE4 drive still scares the snot out of me given all the issues it caused with my WHS.
