Around the same time MacMall (!!) had the HP Microserver for $200!

Since I'm good with WHS but needed to upgrade my pfSense router, I picked one up.

It's complete overkill for the router box, but at that price I couldn't pass it up! Actually, the slots did come in handy as I was able to snag a SuperMicro PCI Express 2 port Intel based server NIC for $40 off of eBay to get me some extra LAN ports...

Moral of the story - keep your eyes peeled for deals! BensBargains.Net is one of my favorite deal hunting sites I like to keep an eye on, but there are a ton of 'em out there...

All, another good deal on the HP ProLiant N40L Ultra. But, this time it comes with an additional Western Digital Caviar Green WD20EARS 2TB SATA hard drive for $289.99.

I have 4 of these boxes running WHS 2011 :whs: . The only complaints I have are that the servers don't natively support a "sleep" mode and their single eSATA port only supports a single eSATA drive. But, the server has two slots where you can add and eSATA port multiplier and it works great.
