There is an article up at www.wegotserved.com titled:

Windows Home Server Vail Preview: Shared Folders and Hard Drives Deep Dive

It talks about the ability to remove the system drive from the storage pool. This allows you to keep your data off the drive in case of OS curruption or even HP update upgrades like ex475 to the 3.0 software.

Very nice!! Excluding the System drive from storage pool is a great way to open that drive up to SSD. Very nice.
