I am running Vail and have been having problems streaming videos across a wired lan to PCH and laptop. Movies are freezing. I brought up the Resource monitor to check activity when it happens. Of course, at first all in normal, good flow of data on the network and disk, low ram and cpu usage. When the movies freeze, the Disk data transfer and Network flow both go to zero, and the disk activity goes to 100%. Stay at 100% activity even though the data I/O is zero. After about 30 sec, everything returns to normal. This happens randomly. Last night watched 2 movies with no issue. Any idea why they freeze and the disk activity goes to 100%? At this point I do not know if its the disk not pushing out data or the network no accepting the data. Is there any logs I should be looking at?
