Hi Mr B,
I don't suppose those 'disks' would work with the x510? They must be similar do you think?

Thanks,
Steve.

I wouldn't know.
Id imagine they are similar, but, is it good enough? Someone is bound to have tried them.

Ugh, so happy i fell upon this post. My wife threw out the box containing the DISCS, Power wire and cat 5 wire. I can live with the missing wires, but can't do a darn thing without the discs.

could i possibly get you to sent me the link to the disc files. I have no discs and i never saw them, so i don't know what is missing other than an install disc and a recovery disc.

Hopefully this thread is still read.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

FYI.
The X-310 and the X-510 the only thing they really have in common is the X.
The 310 is a atom based server.
The 510 has the same hardware as the EX-490 and EX-495 and the x-510 software can be installed on the EX-490 and EX-495.
Hope this helps.

But then again all the install actually has to do is to meet the firmware launched stuff on the headless server, and support the NIC once installed. Everything else can be manually taken care of from that point.
Not saying it's the RIGHT way, but since i don't have the "other" media, i cant offer to let people download them... That is, unless someone wants to give me a copy of their install media set, so i can host it for people who need it.

If you have come across the recovery discs for this product please let me know. I am looking to repair mine as well.

I did e-mail a person selling an X310 w/ recovery disks on e-bay to see if he would be interested in making disk images and posting them on Google Drive for me for a $10 tip. Hopefully I hear back from him before he sells the device.

Mr B, if you've still got the images of those disks could I get a download link? I think my OS drive is dying and I've been unable to find where I put mine.

Thanks in advance!

Someone still has the link for these, but, for what ever reason, my e-mail provider think this forum is spam, no matter what i do, and i never see the messages about posts, or PM's, so i'm REALLY slow to respond. Like months, slow.
