Hi,

Last night I was porting everything to my shiny new whs. It's been running for a couple days fine. I installed mysql and php on it which were the final things I needed(I had them on my old whs just fine), did a few windows updates via the whs console and restarted. Now whenever you browse to the web server http://server, http://server/hphome etc, all pages just show 'The data is invalid'. There's nothing I can really see in the event logs apart from one missing hp dll that others seem to have commented on.

Apart from installing a cctv app and mysql/php, the server is completly stock. I ran these apps on my old whs just fine.

Anyone seen this before? Any ideas how to fix?

Thanks.

What's the error message about the missing dll? I'm not familiar with that...

Though I'm not really sure if this is related with the current issue or not.

It seems somthing has screwed up the web pages.

This is the web.confg in the home folder. It has a missplaced connectionstrings element. I've removed this, but now get a different web error to do with 'Could not load type 'Microsoft.HomeServer.RemoteAccess.PublicLanding.DefaultPage'.
'

<configuration>
<connectionStrings/>
<system.web>
<trace enabled="true" localOnly="false" pageOutput="true"/>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>

</configuration>

No idea if the recent hp updates/patches did this or not, but nothing I installed did...

OK, sorted! After removing the duff tag I also found asp.net had reverted back to V1. Changed to .2 and back in business
