Hi all,

I have a newly bought ex490 and discovered why I couldn't get my ps3 to see the media files every time I clicked on TM on the ps3. The PS3 doesn't show any thing but "No media files supported" or something like that but found out on my Popcorn when I click TM it shows "Trial has expired". Now the other day I thought I had updated the core Twonky to 5.1.2 but all it did was flashed and setup disappeared. I'm not sure if that did anything because on the ex490 it just shows Twonky 5.1. So in any case is the Twonky a Trialware product when purchased the system new from HP?

The Twonky thatcomes with the MSS is not trialware. Not sure what effect the update you did might have had on the original version. It seems like an odd error but I do not use Twonky with the PS3 so hopefully, a similiarly situated user can chime in. In the interim, you might try a reboot of the MSS. If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall the add-in. I believe it's the PV Connect add-in.

For those of you who have the ex490/95 I would not update to 5.1.2 as it will render your Twonky useless by asking for a key on the config page. You go through pulling hair to figure it out before you realize that's why it wasn't serving any media.
