I've posted a new Add-In to try and start a community project to address the outstanding bugs where we can and you can read more in the main news page here. Now we know HP aren't going to fix these, lets see what we can do to get something going to fix some of them ourselves.

I'm up for helping out as time & knowledge permit.

Thanks. Whether people code, or just help point out where we need to be looking is good. We will keep an updated "bug list" somewhere and if we can, resolve them. Some of them could be tricky without the source code (thanks HP! )

Cougar,

I just installed that add-in great work!! Is there any other stuff planned for this? also does the add in need to stay installed or can it be removed after the update happens?

I dont remember if this bug was mentioned before or not. I was on the media converter tab and clicked the enable conversion. Even though the box never checked it started the service up, 100% CPU Usage and almost a 1 1/2GB of memory sucked up. It wouldnt enable to me uncheck as it never showed it was checked. Everytime I go to the Media converter tab it would lock up the console after a few sec. I couldnt click configure or anything....

Just to add somethings that worked for me:

1. Server recovery with Windows 7: I first disabled all three (3) yes 3, firewalls (domain was a sneaky one). I also disabled Security Essentials. That was not enough. I read a post about rebooting into Safe Mode with Networking. THAT helped A LOT.
2. The Aqua blinking light was hard at first for my aging eyes to tell the difference. But when you stare at it long enough and after 487 reboots/retries :-) you can finally see the aqua
3. From what I read (but haven't gotten there yet myself) the "Finish" process needs more on screen help. You need to reboot the server (it tells you that), then while rebooting, switch the network connection back to your switch/router and then switch your computer/laptop back to "normal" (firewall, A/V, wireless back on, etc..)
