Can you use 4 or 6 terr drives in the EX 495?

It is the os that limits the drive size.
Meaning if you are using whs v1 then your limit is 2 tb for pool drives and around 3-4 tb for server drive.

The hardware can handle 4-6 tb drives, but you will need whs 2011 or win2012E or some other 64 bit os.
That is when the video cable comes in handy.
But, whs 2011 and win2012E do not use DE for file duplication, so you need to pick one of the two (stablebit Drive pool) or (Drive Bender)
I have tried both and like stablebit better. I have it on my DIY win2012E box.

But, I will use whs v1 as long as I can because it just works, I like the lights (which will not work with a newer os) and 2 tb drives work good for me.
