Post subject:  CAN'T RESTORE SERVER

WHEN I USE THE RESTORE SERVER DISK, IT GOES THROUGH IT'S PROCESS, BUT DOES NOT INSTALL THE SOFTWARE AT THE END OF IT'S SCRIPT. THE THREE LIGHTS ARE GREEN BUT THEY CONTINUE TO "BREATHE" ALONG WITH THE SINGLE DISK DRIVE LIGHT. NO MATTER WHAT I TRY, THAT'S AS FAR AS I CAN GO.

1. HAVE TRIED A NEW 2 TER DISK WHICH HAS BEEN INITIALIZED
2. HAVE TRIED WORKING IN SAFE MODE
3. HAVE ALSO ASSIGNED AN IP ADDRESS TO THE NIC:
169.37.37.43
255.255.0.0
4. I HAVE EVEN TRIED RUNNING THE PROGRAM AS ADMINISTRATOR
5. THERE IS NO VIRUS PROGRAM RUNNING SINCE I HAVE CONNECTED THE EX95 DIRECTLY TO THE COMPUTER
6. THERE IS NO INTERNET CONNECTION

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

well there is no green led.
But it is called aqua.
You stated you have a net new 2 tb drive.
what is the drive model and what other drives do you have installed in the server.

I would not assign a static ip other than a reserved ip on your router after the reset.

So you used the server recovery CD to lay down a new os on the main system drive and it has rebooted and is breathing.
Now you need to run the server software cd and finishing setting up the server.

Question is, have you tried that and it is not working?
Do you have the correct server software cd disk?

I'm guessing you had a direct Cat5 cable connection to start the server recovery? So now that it is breathing, it is time to shut the server down and plug it into the network so it will have internet access to get updates when needed.

You should be close if you have the correct software server setup disk.

Good Luck
