Not quite sure you can do that but I do believe there are posts in the forums about changing the 20MB Partition size after WHS is up and running bit to be confused with the posts from those who installed WHS on a 60GB SSD a few years back.

To the best of my knowledge you can't do that with the HP MediaSmart Server Recovery Disk. It is not like the WHS Retail Disk. The volume.image file on the disk is like a custom HP installation with the extra HP media stuff. So the rules for an unattended file don't apply.

If you don't mind wiping all you data, you can try something that might work. Start the install of the HP OS as usual. Then when the server reboot for the 1st time. Kill the power when it boots up again. Put the hard drive in a PC. There should be only a C: partition. No D: yet. Then using Disk Management resize that partition. Then put that drive back into the server. The install should continue from there and finish. If your unsuccessful then format the drive and start again the standard way.

Ley us know if it works.
