I have no way to test a MB .
But I would suspect other issues .
Such as hard drive failed.
PSU failed
If it was opened recently ,and or upgraded things.

It would be better to start out with what you are using in the ex490.
And what are the symptoms.

Sorry, guess I should have clarified...
PSU is good - bought new one thinking that was the problem.
Hard drives are fine - currently using them in another system.
Replaced the PSU and shoved a known good drive in it and the thing will not even turn on. Thought something might have popped on the mobo but all looks OK. Not sure if the issue is the motherboard or perhaps the power switch on the mobo...

Trying to troubleshoot and don't want to throw more money into it if I don't have to. I know I cannot get a replacement mobo.

The first thing you need to do is to confirm the PSU is functional. You can do this by removing the current PSU and disconnecting it from the motherboard and shorting out pins 1 & 2. The following link contains info on the PSU and while it mentions the EX470 all MMS units use the same PSU configuration so the info can be applied to your PSU.

If your not able to resolve your issue then you can always pick up another working unit be it an EX490, EX495 or X510. All that you would need to do is pop in your server drives and fire the server up. I believe the X510 is the same hardware configuration as the EX495 it was just renamed and marketed towards small business by HP. These units often show up on eBay and can be purchased for reasonable prices but keep in mind that some days these units do sell for higher prices so you have to be patient.
