I have completed a factory reset on my 495 after way too long trying to do a restore. The system status on my WHS console now only shows the processor load as one bar, where previously that showed one bar for each core. Anyone else experience this?

Thanks,
Benzene

I have a quad cpu in a ex490
I posted in the post also.
the console was reporting only one core but remote desktop reported four.
I just did a total reset with out any add-ins.
There are some current ms updates around 7/9/2013 not just security updates.
One of them broke the console from displaying them correctly but it appears the os is fine with the multiple cores.
So for now I guess give up on using the console to check the cpu cores and use task manager in remote desktop.

Ok, so then its not just me. I suspect that it was an update that tanked my system in the first place. Since I've gotten it back up and running, I'm turning the updates off. Don't want to have to waste another day trying to restore if I don't have to. Thanks for the replies.

I have seen the same thing on the EX47x and I believe the EX48x running the 3.x both running dual core processors which use to display but no longer do. The EX48x is now running WHS2011. The task manager displays the cores properly even though the console no longer does. Its not something I would worry about so long as there is no change in the performance of the unit but I would agree its annoying when you look at it.

I just did a server restore on my MSS I am getting ready to sell. After the initial restore it shows all 4 cores. After doing all the MSS client updates for the connector it still shows. After doing all of the 125 windows updates it only shows one core. So I assume one of those windows updates is the culprit.
