I've finally given up on the EX495 w/ all my OSX problems. I've picked up a cheap Drobo FS and I'm in the process of migrating the data over. After that, I will repurpose my EX495 HDDs for use into the Drobo.

Couple of questions:
1) Is there a way to incrementally 'decommission' drives so I can remove them as I start to delete data on the EX495?
2) What's the best way to 'reset' my EX495 to factory? I've never done this and I have a dedicated OSX environment at home. I suppose I can take it to work if I have to do MS-Windows specific tasks.

Thanks.

1. Right-click the drive in the Home Server Console and select "Remove"
2. Perform a "Factory Reset" via the Server Recovery disk. You'll need a Windows PC to run this.
