I unkowingly purchased an advanced format drive - the WD20EARS - SATA 64MB cache

It presented problems where My MacBook would not backup as well as other PCs on teh network.

Can anyone make a recommendation on what 2TB hard drive to purchase?

Or does anyone on the forum have a standard 2TB drive and wants to trade for my advanced?

great article...wish I saw it earlier before I bought the unit. I contacted WD and now I'm exchanging it for a caviar Black unit WD2001FASS - 2 TB - SATA 3 Gb/s 7200 N/A 64 MB.

Hopefully this unit will work.
