My EX490 doesn't have a front fan connector on the MB. Is this the way all EX490s are built or did I get an odd-ball system? Herman posted a thread about adding a couple of small fans to his EX490 and he connected them to the fan connector in front of the CPU. I want to do the same but it looks like I'll have to have a connector added to the MB.

Mine has a fan header, it's the 3-prong white connector on the front of the motherboard right next to the notch cut in the PCB for the power cables.

It's weird that mine doesn't have that connector. I have an old EX470 that has one so I'll probably remove that one and move it to the EX490. I have a neighbor who does that sort of stuff for a living so I'll probably ask him to do it.

Can you take a pic? I can't believe it's not on there...

It's even silkscreened on the motherboard "Fan1", you can see it under the power cables in this pic.

You're correct. It is silk screened on the MB but the connector isn't there.

That's crazy! I wonder if it's a later model or something? Let us know how the solder job goes...
