Hi,

recently I read about the new H341/342 from Acer on several forums.
FYI: with following search concept, you may be able to download the Service MAnual of these new (or not so new?) units:
Code:
http://www.google.de/search?q=site%3Awww.acersupport.com+filetype%3Apdf+easystore+341

According to this, most of the chassis and hardware capabilities seems to be unchanged. Also the mysterious debug-jumper is still there, as well the debug-connector. Main important changes are the newer CPU's, lower amounts of RAM and use of IHC9R chipset.

The Acer Easystore has been out for some time. These were shipped with Atom N230 processors but the information in the link you provided indicates a different Easystore with newer Atom D410/D510 which I do believe are Duel Core Atom Processors indicating a newer server model.

The documentation in that link is quite usefull as it details the complete dissassembly and troubleshoot instructions for that server.

I have not tried out the Acer Easystore yet, but I hear great things about it. I would love to hear from others who have used it. I am seriously considering going this route, but would like to have a bit more feedback. Thanks for any thoughts that you might have.

It's a nice bit of hardware, though not as powerful as the MSS it is a bit easier to get inside and has a PCI express slot for expansion. If you don't need CPU power and find a good deal, I'd go for it. I do prefer the X310 over it, though.
