Powerfule enough? Too powerful?
Am I forgetting anything?

I'd probably go with a bigger system drive like a 500GB or 1TB 7200RPM, whatever is the right price point. If I were going with a smaller system drive I'd consider an SSD. The rest of the specs look fine, I'm not familiar with the case though.

Thanks Alex!
Why the larger system drive. My thought was (IIRC) 20GB was needed for the system files. I like the idea of keeping system and data seperate.

You are correct that with your proposed scenario the system drive should not be utilized, however in practice WHS will store data where it wants and your storage needs may grow to be such that the system drive gets utilized. The 80GB drive just isn't practical anymore, if it's one you've got laying around to reuse that's fine, but I can't see intentionally purchasing an 80GB drive unless it's an SSD.

Just to close the loop... The new server is together and seems to be running well. So, this config works for me.
Thanks again.

Now, just have to transfer all the files and backups from my old server...
