Anyone know of a good source for custom sata cables? I need a right angle combined source & data to straight combined source & data cable. The right angle end needs to be as narrow as possible. Less that .5 inch would be great. Google shows lots of hits but I didn't see any that are exactly what I'm looking for.

I actually have one here but its not going to help you depending on the length. I generally find MicroCenter and Frys Electronics good places to find these cables if you need them the same day and provided they are close to you.

Anyway here are a couple places you can look at:

http://www.cooldrives.com/sata-cables.html

http://www.addonics.com/products/Access ... ataCables/

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi ... sata+cable

http://www.microcenter.com/search/searc ... ubmit.y=14

Depending on how you need to run your cables there are right and left angle cables but these links will get you started. Sometimes its best to put the thing in your hands to see if you believe it will work or not. Some cables I order others I pickup when I am out. Its when you need long ones that gets difficult as the average size is like 18" OAL. I have one comming in this week thats like 40" OAL just so I can connect my slim drive in my server I just bought.

Thanks for the links. I found several extension cables but none with a right angle on one end. In this application I only have about a half an inch and most of the extension cables look like they're between three quarters of an inch or right at an inch. I'm not sure how much of bend they could withstand either. They're pretty cheap so I may order a couple and see what happens.

If your doing alot of work with SATA Cables then having a good selection always comes in handly. They use to come with the drives and now if you get a cable its like a mistake and now drives that may need jumpers may or may not ship with them. Whats next the screws?

For me I only have a few applications where I need SATA Cables. The next one I look for will be a 90 degree SATA to eSATA but I have some 90 degree SATA connectors for the Port Multiplier Boards I am working with but I would prefer a single connection to the outside of the enclosure not multiple as I did with my last project.

Hopefully the cables will arrive in a mannor that will work for your application.

http://www.performance-pcs.com should have what you need. They would even customize cables to your *exact* needs if you want.
