Hey gang, with win2012E in mind and out growing the microservers.
Anything stand out used but not to old in the Dell or HP server world?
I'm thinking heavy duty:
Dual power supplies
Dual Giga Nics
At least 16 gig memory
At least a 3.0 + cpu
6-8 sata bays for storage
A couple bays for a raid1 OS
Tower with plenty of cooling.
I'm thinking of trying to find a good one and buying 2 so i'd have spare parts.

Anything stand out as a good candidate?
Yes I could build something buy am looking for something bullet proof for lots of years of use.

Building a server to meet those needs puts you in control over the components and affords you greater flexibility then purchasing a server already built. Now you hang around eBay and you may find something there but if you keep a close eye on Computer Geeks http://www.geeks.com/ sometimes they may have exactly what your looking for and sometimes at a price that will not hurt you too much. What they have there often changes so you would have to stop there daily to see what new.
