Donavon West at HomeServerHacks.com just published a step-by-step MEMORY UPGRADE TUTORIAL for the LX195. The memory is upgraded to 2gb; the upgrade should only 3-5 minutes from the looks of it.

From Donavon's pictures, ... it looks like there is a 26-pin connector on the motherboard. I wonder if this is a KVM connector?

Looks like the same troubleshooting connector as in the EX series.
I am sure the cable will work here as well.

Just looking at the unit: How sweet would that have been:
2 mounting slots for 2.5" hard drives. You can get the 2.5" drives up to 500MB now. So if this was really a "unit for the budget concious customer", that option would have at least allowed for an internal upgrade to unlock folder duplication features.

As you can see, this was much easier than the original upgrade. With practice, I bet you could do the entire upgrade in less than 30 seconds, but you should probably take your time. :)

actually 30 seconds:D

Hey guys. This is indeed the same connector and my Gen 1 cable works just fine. However the USB keyboard does not working during a POST so I can't get into the BIOS. Unfortubately I didn't order the one with a keyboard/mouse port. #-o

Does it have the same jumper as the EX48x? I can test when I pop the case on mine in the next day or so.

I've taken a high resolution photo of the LX195 mainboard and a picture of the VGA connector attached at Home Server Hacks:

Alex, I haven't tried the jumper yet as I had no luck on the ex485.

Thanks for the picture, it does look like there are a few jumpers on the board we can try out, I hope to get some time to do that this weekend.

FYI I had no problems with either USB or PS2 keyboard with the BIOS unlock jumper on the EX48x.
