My install of Vail on my EX490 is a bit different since I have the VGA cable.

I started by putting my Vail hard drive in my PC, make sure it is the only drive connected. Also the DVD drive should be installed.

boot off the Vail DVD and start the install. once it goes into the reboot screen, power off your computer and put the drive into you server. With the VGA cable, keyboard and mouse, you should be able to continue.

Then put your PC back together.
