I appreciate the help everyone! It appears McAfee 2007 was the culprit. Once I uninstalled it my transfer speeds now average closer to 50 MB/s. I never liked McAfee anyway - perhaps its back to Norton. Unfortunately when I plugged the router back in it gave me connection problems (typical). I replaced it with a D-Link N 825 and I'm getting 50-80 MB/s.

Are you referring to uninstalling the McAfee WHS add-in or McAfee on your PC?

Not sure what Norton offers for use on WHS but make sure you use an AV program that is specifically designed for use on WHS as there are some special considerations to avoid problems. There are several good AV programs for WHS. Avast WHS is one that is highly regarded.
