OK, thanks for the suggestion, I believe that could be true. I might as well stick with a 4 drive back plate. Do you have a vendor and part numbers ?

Diehard here is the link for the Guide I wrote on how to build an MSS PortMultiplier it lists the backplane I used and links where you can order one for a 4 bay backplane. Its the same backplane used in the Sans Digital, Rosewill and CFI 4 bacy eSATA enclosures. The guide lists everything I used to complete the project.

I found the Sans Digital case for $30 off including shipping and taxes is under $84 CND. I'll order that since I get the power supply also. The backplate was $54 US plus tax + Shipping.
