It might be interesting to place a fan in the bottom, in the piece you created and maybe make some air slots for air to go up into case.

I am working on the "How to build the new MSS base with debug ports mod"

No I did not instal a fan on the base becose the air that is going trough the base
will not go over the cpu and the cpu will get warm.
The air will take the shortess way to the fan at the rear

It's an excellent point...airflow can have a negative effect, and can actually raise temps if not chanalled properly. Flow is more important than air supply.

VERY NICE....

Of course my immediate thought is what could make it even better? How about adding some disk activity lights in the front?

Thank you.

I did not see the need for adding disk activity light in my case
I do not need them.

Instead of lights, how about a small usb hub, 3 or 4 ports. Or bring the fan connector from the front.

I keep asking myself WHY we are all so interested in these modifications (anything past the 2GB RAM) when we could so easily build our own systems! I especially wonder about folks who are making these mods in the first month of having them! CPU, BIOS, KVM, connectors, case mods, ...

OK, who wants to add the liquid cooling to the unit to make it quieter (and cool the Guinness)?

So that the guys can play with their toys
and the fun in making somethings to work :D
This is my thinking

Look at all the evolution on cars some guys said "I can improve that or this" and he did it
we are doing this so that we can improve what we have
This is my opinion on that

PS. please disregard or I did remove the man on the moon thing it is exaggerated on my part.

Or, we could all be a bunch of dinks with way too much time on our hands.....

The difference between men and boys is ... the price of their toys.

and

He who dies with the most toys wins.
