There is another thread related to tracking down a hardwired VGA output on the EX470 that will work with all output including at the BIOS level.
This does not help with BIOS level output, but I can report that the Iogear GUC2015V USB VGA Adapter does function within Windows on the EX470 using the Windows XP driver. I am running the full Windows Server 2003 OS and not Windows Home Server, however, I would expect the results to be the same on WHS.
So far, any widescreen resolution I have tried results in the Iogear software driver panning the horizontal output, but standard resolutions do not. There may be ways around this, but I do not really have a use for display output so I may not investigate any further. Since I already had a GUC2015V I wanted to at least test it out in order to report the results to anyone else that might be interested.
In case anyone wants to try this you will have to first install some type of remote control software that does not use RDP, such as VNC, in order to setup the Iogear drivers (once installed and configured there should not be a need for it). The reason for this is that RDP as implemented by Remote Desktop will abstract your display device and not allow easy configuration of the built-in video adapter.
