hi guys I have been given an HP media smart EX470 Server it had no disc's inside the unit not even the OS disk so I got a 500GB hdd that was blank inserted it and turned the unit on I then had to use the recovery cd's that the unit came with and reload the OS. and had that to complete the issue then I had was that the software won't work to setup the server at all, I get the 3 lights on the front of the unit blue no drive lights at all and the health light is blinking on and off im not sure if this is normal or not. but any help guys ? im running OSX 10.13 and windows 10 x64 ive tried vista 32bit but no go as I can't get network drivers for the Mac. please advise if there is something else I can try ? ive also got the 3.0 upgrade disk its a copy not the original but im not sure if thats the problem as im obviously missing the other disk to install the server software thanks Jason |

hi guys this is now solved it ended up being the hard drive after all silly thing. |
