Anyone knows where I could find a copy of the hidden partition for an EX470?

I believe mine is corrupted.

I tried with HP but they were not of any help.

Thank you

Or are you talking about the bios flash?

The hidden partition is a USB chip that's on the EX47x motherboard only. You need to stop the MediaSmart Server service and set it to manual and the reboot. Then it will be visible.

I came upon a couple of posts where indications were given as to where to find those files (SMI files) but unfortunately two pointed to sites that seem to no longuer have those files and one had them but BOOT.WIM was unaccessible due to apparent corruption.

Can anyone help? I need those files to restart my server.

The files in your hidden partition may be in good working order but that partition may no longer be bootable. So expose the partition and copy the files to a safe place. The create a bootable USB Flash Drive and then copy the Files back to the bootable USB Flash Drive.

Once you have done that simply back out the system drive, plug in the bootable USB Flash Drive to the bottom rear USB Port and then turn the server on. If all goes well you should see your Servers Health Light Blink Purple/Red and if you see this then, reconnect the system drive and run the Server Disk in a client and run the recovery your looking to run.

Also your servers SMI Partition might be working perfectly fine. I have written this many times but the easiest way to know is to back out the system drive, turn the server on then logon to your router and check the DHCP Listing for a device starting with the name MININT followed by other things if you see this then your server has booted into its recovery mode and your SMI Files are working properly. Its also important to make certain there are no other bootable devices connected to your server.
