| Post subject: | Shares disconnecting and server not showing up |
I installed a new Seagate Momentus XT hydrid HDD in my Macbook Pro a month ago. Since reinstalling everything, my MSS is not showing up consistently in Finder. Before it was always under Shared in the left sidebar. Now, I have to go to GO in the Finder menu and click Connect to Server and add it. After a while it disconnects. I'm not sure what the deal is. The server console shows up fine when going through the HP software. I changed nothing on the MSS, I reinstalled the HP connector software on the new HDD. |

On occasion, I've seen a disconnect but it is unusual. My MSS never shows up until/unless I connect to it and that gets old fast so I created an Apple script that runs at login to connect and mount the volumes I'm likely to use. |

Think I got it fixed. I had installed a new Cisco E3000 router and didn't setup the port forwarding for the WHS. Once I did that everything is showing up like normal. |
