My wife's Macbook HDD decided to keel over last night. Had to buy a new HDD after trying many methods to repair it.

RIght now it's restoring and seems to be working OK. Not too much different than using my Time Machine w/ the excepting of prepping a USB stick.

Awesome, this is the first experience I've heard of this, do let us know how it works out!
