Post subject:  TM backups slowing disappearing

I'm still on Snow Leopard and I'm finding that all of my TM backups are slowing failing. I'm not even on Lion yet.

Currently I have 4 Macs backup up to the EX495. If I look at the EX495 directory, there's 4 backup files. Does anyone know how to identify which Mac is tied to which backup file? I'm at the point where I'm going to slowing restart each machine's backup but I want to know what backup to delete before committing.

The backup files are sparse image bundles. The MAC address for the computer (ethernet or wifi/airport depending on which interface was active when you created your Time Machine backup file) should be part of the file name.

Also if turn on the Time Machine menu bar icon, then hold down the Option Key when picking the Time Machine icon from the menu bar there will be a new option "Verify Backups" - try running that before starting your backups over...
