Open the disk image from the mac software share \\<mss>\software\mac\HP MSS Client.dmg and run the uninstaller

| Post subject: | Uninstall Mac WHS connector software? |
Anyone know how to uninstall the Mac WHS connector software? I no longer want to use it for Time Machine backups, so I want to remove that part of the software, and the HP MSS agent that continuously hangs up needing a Force Quit. Really, I just want to use the HP WHS as a dumb NAS with none of the fancy MAC add-ons. But... I can't figure out HOW to uninstall the Mac software? Can anyone help? Thanks! |

Thanks!! Funny that the uninstaller is on the WHS, not somewhere on the Mac. So if your WHS dies, you can never uninstall it. I copied it to my Mac so I can now uninstall it if I choose. |

That dmg file is also on the software installation disk that came with your MSS. IIRC there is also a way to install it manually - I had to check it out for someone on this site once. Searching my old posts with a relevant keyword (remove, uninstall, something along those lines) should turn up the post. |
