Thanks for moving us to the new host. It does seem faster to me and I am a speed freak so it's important. :mss:
BTW, did you notice Eric's comment on your blog post on Site Downtime? Seems like a nice offer although I doubt you would go through this rehosting again, at least not any time soon. :D

At this point all known issues with the move to the new server have been resolved. Please let me know if you see anything else.

Alex,
There is a jpg file attachment missing (see screenshot below). Don't know if this is due to change over or not but wanted to bring to your attention in case it was. Let me know if you need more info to find the thread/post.

Alex,
One other comment. It appears to me the times on the new hosts have not been adjusted for the Daylight Saving Time we went through this past Sunday. Is that your read too?

Unfortunately we need to individually modify that "Summer Time" setting in our profiles...

(Thanks for the reminder by the way!)

Alex: Is there a way you can post a reminder to everyone to do that? Maybe something that appears in red at the top for a couple weeks, with a link to instructions?

Thanks, John. Found and made the change under Board Preferences-> Edit Global Settings. :D

George, the broken image you posted above has been fixed, it took a while but I found an issue with permissions on some files that I have now resolved. Do let me know if you find anything else.

Thanks a bunch Alex. I am sure I speak for all that we appreciate the tons of work you do for us here on this forum.

In the mean time I found several other images that were similiarly affected. I am betting you fixed them all by fixing the permissions issue, but I will check and let you know if I find any others.

Thanks again. George

Yeah there were a handful, I bet it fixes them all, if not point me to them, I'm learning the phpbb database structure pretty well by now and debug should be faster. :)

I checked two additional attachments I knew of and they were both fixed. You got 'em all it looks like to me.

I've noticed what seems to be intermittent email notifications as well. But let me ask a question; if I'm subscribed to a thread and I get an email that its been updated but I don't click the link to read the update, will I get another email if another update to the thread occurs? If that is the case then maybe that explains the intermittent notifications.

George, my logs show that the site has sent you 15 emails today, and all were accepted by the incoming mail server (your email host). I don't have visibility into the specific threads, though. I don't believe there are any significant mail problems with the site, though there can be occasional rejected or lost messages.

TxDot, exactly, you'll only get the initial notification that the thread has been updated, further updates to the same topic will NOT result in more mails.

That could be my problem too. Thanks TxDot for alerting me to this situation. I don't always click on the link in the email to go to the post as I am oftern looking at the threads I am subscribed thru the "View your posts" link in the upper left of any forum page. So when I look that way at what the new posts are, I usually don't click on the link in the email. Guess I had better change my behavior from now on so I will not miss any email notifications.

Thanks Alex and TxDot for clueing me in on that :mss:
