All the drives are reported as healthy, but I suspect one maybe going bad. I noticed that my computer would no longer connect to the server. I had to power down the server and reboot for it to even respond. So I immediately started a backup. It would get about 25% done and then hang and stop responding. Any advice before I start ordering new hard drives? I have the original HP drive and a 1.5 tb Toshiba drive for storage. A WD 2 tb drive for backups. Thanks in advance.

It does sound like a drive issue. I would consider running a full checkdisk with repair on each drive in the server. Also, consider doing the same for the HDD in the client PC.
