You might also look at the CPU Load (via an RDP session) while attempting a transfer. If that is maxing out at 100% then I'd probably be looking for something in the MSS; otherwise I'd be looking at the network and/or clients.


thank you very much for your detailed reply. now...can you solve my slow speed transfer issues?

All previous topics aside, i get really slow transfer speeds when transferring to and from and even within my WHS. i have a brand new EX485 and a brand new Sony laptop and a brand new N draft gigabit router. When tethered with cat6, i get great speeds. but i crawl along on wifi. i have tried everything and done as much research as possible. i updated every driver imaginable, enabled jumbo frames, switched wifi channels, forced 1000mbit speeds....still, like 1mbps.

any idea what it could be?

What brand is the router? Any switches in use?
