i have a avi file I am trying to delete but everytime I try to rename or delete it says file in use which it is not , i tried rebooting but get the same message

anyone have a solution on how to delete this file?

I am 99.9 sure this has something to do with a thumbnail for the file, what happen was the avi files was in its own directory on the HPserver with a thumbnail and I copied the file out of the directory and put in it a movie directory. I was able to delete the original file and thumbnail but I am not able to delete the copy of the avi file which is in the movie directory

I tried booting in safemode with networking but I got the same message

Perhaps, try turning off your media sharing and aggregators services on the MSS. One of them is probably trying to access the files.

thanks texas that worked, I was able to delete the file

one more question though when I restarted my twonky sharing my video folder filled up with my music videos from my music folder which is for my apple tv, I only want my video folder to collect movie, tv etc... videos from my video folders - not my music videos from my music folder.

is there a way to have twonky not collect these files? they weren't collecting these before ? why now?

it happened again, another avi file, I just copied this AVI file to my server and then I tried to rename the file and it says "the file is being used by another person or program" so I quit my Ps3 media server app and tried to rename but no luck.

I am now using the Ps3 Media server and I tried turning it off but no luck this time (my twonky sharing is disabled now though).

Any ideas?

how do I know? is it on Ps3 Media Server or my WHS? if its the PS3MS then wouldn't it be off it I quit the program?
